World Padel Tour 2016 Official Calendar

We now have the official World Padel Tour 2016 calendar. The World Padel Tour organization has already released its calendar for the current year 2016. The halls of Caixa Forum Madrid served as the setting to unveil the main tournaments that will be played this season, bringing together some of the best players in the world.

The season will officially kick off on March 28 with the Gijón Open. This year, the World Padel Tour will feature a total of 15 tournaments distributed as follows: 10 Opens, 5 Masters, and the Madrid Final Master.

Valencia, Barcelona, Madrid, Palma de Mallorca, Las Palmas, Valladolid, Alicante, Seville, A Coruña, Zaragoza, and San Sebastián. These will be the Spanish cities hosting the tournaments. To all of them, we must add the championships in Portugal, Argentina, Italy, and the Principality of Monaco.

During the ceremony, the general director of the World Padel Tour, Javier Porras, highlighted more news. "A new international venue among the proposals received from the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and North America remains to be defined," to complete the 15 tournaments of the 2016 calendar plus the Madrid Final Master.

The best players in the world gathered for the circuit's presentation event. In addition, some of this year's new pairs were revealed, who will try to dethrone current champions Fernando Belasteguín and Pablo Lima from the number one spot. A pair that won 11 of the 12 titles in play last season.
