The 1st National Congress on Padel Research will analyze advances in this sport
National Padel Research Council.
The I National Congress on Padel Research will be held on March 5 in Granada. Its objective: To showcase the latest advances in research, science, and technology applied to padel. A big step for this sport, as it signifies its professionalization with valuable and rigorous information that contributes to its healthy practice.
The event, which will feature the collaboration of the Spanish Padel Federation and the European Padel Federation, represents an unprecedented meeting point that will bring together academics, professionals, and companies to publicize the latest advances that science is contributing to this sport.
The congress will begin on March 5, 2015, and will be held in the Auditorium of the R&D Armilla Building in Granada. One of the events that will take place within the framework of the congress will be the I PadelScience Padel Tournament, which will emphasize the theoretical part applied to sports practice.
Some of the presentations on padel that have been scheduled are related to aspects of padel such as physical preparation, nutrition and sports performance, or psychology and motor learning. In addition, research workshops and laboratory tests on technology in padel player training will be carried out.
It will also analyze how gender influences the activity profile of professional padel and will analyze competition in professional padel players.
The congress will be attended by personalities from the padel world such as Martín Echegaray, technical director of the Spanish Padel Federation, Óscar Lorenzo, psychologist of the world number 1 player or, yet to be confirmed, Carolina Navarro, professional player number 5 in the world ranking.
