The professional padel circuit sets foot on American soil. This is good news for the world of padel, as it marks the first step in introducing this sport professionally to the US market.

1st International Padel Exhibition

The first event, in fact, has already taken place in Miami Beach. It was held on January 30 and featured seven of the circuit's best professionals: Juan Martín Díaz, Juani Mieres, Matías Díaz Sangiorgio, Sebastián Nerone, Agustín Gómez Silingo, Fernando Poggi, and Federico Quiles, along with two former great players, Hernán "Bebe" Auguste and Leo Padovani. Silingo and Boich were the winners after beating Leo Padovani and Frenchman Grinda in the final.

According to World Padel Tour, the final was very close and ended with a super tie-break, giving victory to local businessman Wayne Boich along with his partner Silingo. At the trophy ceremony, Miami Mayor Philip Levine was encouraged to pick up the World Padel Tour racket and hit some shots on the court with the players.

Both the local organizations, as well as the professional players and attendees of the event, highly valued the celebration of this first padel tournament in a country with great potential and predisposition for this sport.
