The padel stars will be in La Palma in April
The stars of the professional paddle circuit will be in the Canary Island city of La Palma. This Atlantic city will host a World Padel Tour 2015 event. Thus, we know the name of another of the calendar venues that will be definitively announced on March 9th in Madrid.
For the moment, the Cabildo de La Palma and World Padel Tour have already signed the agreement for the Estrella Damm Isla de La Palma tournament to be held from April 19th to 26th, as reported by the official World Padel Tour website. The president of the Cabildo himself acknowledged during the presentation and signing of the agreement that, with this news, La Palma will be one of the venues for the world circuit for the first time in such a popular sport with so many fans.
Anselmo Pestana commented that "despite this being a small island, the number of annual padel tournaments currently exceeds thirty, with an average of almost 100 pairs, which is a genuine success in just a few years, as padel began to be played on the island in 1999. In addition, there are four fully operational padel schools in La Palma, and it can be said that the approximate number of players today exceeds 2,500, which guarantees a large turnout of fans for the event to be held on the Island."
The city of La Palma will therefore be one of the destinations for the rackets of great padel players such as Belasteguin, Martín Díaz, or Pablo Lima, among others. A World Padel Tour delegation has already toured the facilities of the Miraflores Sports City. The sports city will be the venue for the event, and the Roberto Rodríguez Estrello pavilion will become the main stage.
Other cities already revealed for the World Padel Tour calendar in April
The Cadiz city of San Fernando is another city already revealed for the official calendar of the official padel circuit. However, we will have to wait until April 5th for the Bahía Sur facilities to see the great padel players.
