Mendoza joins the World Padel Tour 2016 circuit
Mendoza Open Confirmed
What was a rumor in the last few hours has now become official news. The World Padel Tour organization has confirmed that the Argentine city of Mendoza will be part of the 2016 circuit, thus adding one more event to this season.
As reported by WPT, the Mendoza Open will be held from November 1 to 6. The championship will be organized by the Mendozina Padel Association.
The Mendoza Open will be the second event of the year on Argentine soil. Days later, the Buenos Aires Master will begin, specifically, from November 7 to 13.
"From World Padel Tour, we consider it a luxury that a historical and emblematic city for 90s padel in Argentina and birthplace of several of the best professional padel players in the world, can host one of the circuit's events, complementing the Buenos Aires event and giving padel presence from one end of the country to the other," say World Padel Tour representatives.
A second opportunity for Argentine fans to see their idols up close. Miguel Lamperti, Fernando Belasteguín, Sanyo Gutiérrez, Maxi Sánchez, Juan Martín Díaz or Cristian Gutiérrez will surely be some of the most acclaimed players by South American fans.
The official venue will be confirmed in the coming days.
