Paquito Navarro vence en el WPT Sevilla Open 2017

Seville bows down to Paquito Navarro

It had to be him. Paquito Navarro was carried off on shoulders at the Seville Open World Padel Tour. Along with Sanyo Gutiérrez, the Bullpadel player won the Andalusian tournament, crowned as the best player of the championship.

In the highly anticipated final, Paquito and Sanyo defeated Bela and Lima. They did so in two sets (6-4 and 6-2) and in their most devastating form.

The World Padel Tour central court at the San Pablo Pavilion was adorned to host a truly great match.

It was a rematch of the final from the previous tournament in Alicante, and also the same as last year in this region. A year ago, Bela and Lima won on the same stage against these same players. But this time, glory went to Sanyo and, especially, to Paquito, who, with tears in his eyes, dedicated the victory to all the Sevillian fans, his fans.

With his inseparable Bullpadel Hack, the best Spanish padel player put on a display of shots. His partner, a magical Sanyo, also got the crowd on their feet on more than one occasion.

The Sevillian and the player from San Luis found one of their best versions. A version they had shown at the beginning of the season, making them winners of 3 tournaments, and which they would repeat in this final.

Magical Sanyo

The decisiveness with which they finished the first set would increase in the second. By then, Bela and Lima couldn't cope with the best Sanyo, with constant flashes of his quality, and a highly motivated Paquito Navarro, carried by the crowd, increased his hitting effectiveness by the moment. Two breaks were responsible for the wider margin in the second set. 6-2 to win the match. 6-2 to win their final.
