More and more top-level football players are seen with a padel racket in hand. The latest to share a court, though as rivals, were Gerard Piqué and Carles Puyol.
Great friends, the two Catalans maintain a close relationship, as shown by the 'rivalry' they had on the court and later on social media.
In one of the plays of the match, Piqué sent Puyol a high ball that caught Puyol by surprise, who could not return the shot. Piqué's laughter after his former teammate's mistake was priceless.

Piqué, however, was quick to reply: "Congratulations. You won. But there will be a rematch..."
As a notable point, it must be said that Piqué played with a Just Ten racket, a brand based in Catalonia. Puyol, for his part, preferred not to show his racket in the photo.
But Piqué and Puyol have not been the only football players to pick up a padel racket this summer. A few days ago, we also saw their former teammate Pedro Rodríguez wielding a Siux Diablo Granph.
