The Unlicensed Coach

We all have that friend who thinks they are a certified instructor, but is nowhere near it. This type of player thinks they know everything about the game, technique, strategies, and equipment. When it comes to talking, they seem to be the most knowledgeable, but when it comes to showing it on the court, they leave much to be desired. The unlicensed coach will point out your mistakes at all times and give you advice without you asking for it, even if most of that advice is wrong.

The Aggressive Player

The aggressive player is the one who hits every ball with all possible force. They are always ready to go on the offensive, but due to that excessive force, they are a player who easily loses control and leaves the ball in the net or sends it directly to the back wall. The aggressive player always brags about having a powerful arm, capable of destroying the ball, and in their opinion, all balls should be responded to with a devastating smash. Having an aggressive partner can be an advantage sometimes, but other times, it's a disadvantage.

The Optimist

The optimist is one of the types of padel players everyone wants as a partner. Mental strength is their greatest quality; for them, negative thoughts do not exist. Optimistic players are those who don't give up and don't give up a single point, even if they are far behind on the scoreboard. Furthermore, the optimistic player takes defeats in the best way, saying that one learns from them. These types of padel players are the ones who most fuel the team's motivation.

The Pessimist

No one wants to have a pessimistic padel partner; it is probably one of the most unpleasant types of padel players. The pessimist always thinks the worst and believes that winning is not a possibility. How many times have we heard a player say "the opponents we'll have are very strong, we're sure to lose"? That's a clear example of a pessimistic player, one who has already lost the match without even playing it.

The Proud Player

The proud player is probably one of the most common on padel courts. This player never accepts their mistakes; they always pass the responsibility to their partner. Additionally, proud players don't acknowledge good plays from their opponents and don't accept that they were better than them. It's very common to hear phrases like "they won because of pure luck," "I gifted them the ball," "they're lucky I'm injured today," phrases that serve as excuses not to accept their own failures.

The Conqueror

The conqueror is that typical padel player who thinks about nothing more than going to meet girls at padel clubs. He doesn't care if they win or lose, or if he performs well on the court; he just wants to socialize and cast his net to catch his prey. This type of player usually signs up for mixed tournaments, just to meet girls and show off his talent to them. These types of players often have a very high ego, especially if they receive a compliment from the ladies.

The Talented Player

The talented player is truly the one who plays like a professional, and that's why we all want them on our team. This player knows every aspect of the game; they can be a naturally talented player or a player who has received advanced padel lessons. This player perfectly masters all strokes, match strategies, defense, and offense. Unlike the "unlicensed coach," the talented player actually has the knowledge to give good advice.

The Easygoing Player

The easygoing player is one of the most pleasant to share a court with, although it's a double-edged sword; it can also bring negative things. On the positive side, these types of players are relaxed all the time, they are optimistic and don't give up. That's why they don't get frustrated under pressure or when they are down on the scoreboard. In addition, they are players who don't get angry, who don't complain, and who don't throw your mistakes in your face. However, easygoing players also tend to show indifference and disinterest in all situations, which can be a drawback when a positive attitude is needed.
