This year sees the arrival of its fifth version. The new Siux SX5 retains the same essence as always, a release composed of two rackets, one of which is exclusively dedicated to female players. Don't miss a single detail of this review prepared by Street Padel. We will examine the new features of this version, its materials, and its technologies.

Everything about the new Siux SX5 and Siux SX5 Woman

The first time an SX racket saw the light was in 2014, when the SX1 was introduced. A control racket that immediately became very recognizable thanks to its appealing design in red, white, and black colors. After that version, its acceptance among enthusiasts continued to grow, allowing it to be renewed each season. We have officially reached the SX5 version, which includes some improvements to continue satisfying even the most demanding players.

New features compared to previous versions

As mentioned, the Siux SX5 and SX5 Woman rackets retain the essence that made them famous and reuse the materials from the previous version. However, there are some minor changes, the main one being their finish. The current model features a matte sandpaper-effect finish. This finish improves the quality of spin, with a relief that increases the ball's friction on the faces.

For intermediate level male and female players

Both the SX5 and the SX5 Woman are aimed at intermediate level players. Perfect for those who want to improve their level and find a playing style appropriate to their abilities. However, pay attention to the type of game, a fundamental characteristic in which the two rackets differ. The SX5 is a versatile racket that offers an excellent balance between control and power. This result is achieved with a slightly higher balance to make the head heavier. The versatility of this racket makes it suitable for various types of players. In contrast, the SX5 Woman is a control racket; its lower balance concentrates the weight in the bridge area, improving maneuverability.

100% Carbon composition

Structurally speaking, both rackets are identical. They are made with high-resistance materials, among which are materials rarely found in an intermediate-level racket. First, we find a 100% carbon frame, with a solid tubular that provides resistance and stability. As for the faces, they are composed of a high-resistance carbon fiber. This fiber produces a slightly more solid feel than fiberglass. This also leads to a slight increase in shot power. However, this hardness is balanced by the softness of its core.

New high-density Soft EVA rubber

Inside, the new SX5s are equipped with a high-density Soft EVA rubber. This rubber features the well-known properties of EVA foam in absorbing impacts and reducing vibrations. Nevertheless, as mentioned before, it balances perfectly with the carbon fiber to also offer an extra boost of power and excellent ball output.

Impeccable design for the Siux SX5

As we know and have reiterated many times, looks matter. In fact, the aesthetics of a racket are what attracts our attention and invites us to want to know it in depth. That's why Siux has maintained the essence of the SX4 design. An effort has been made to differentiate the SX5 from the SX5 Woman, so that each has its own distinctive trait. Both have a black base color; the men's version combines it with red, while the women's version does so with blue and fuchsia.
