Revenge at the World Padel Tour
For Cristian and Stupa, this final was the perfect opportunity to get revenge from the Andorra Open. Maxi and Sanyo had beaten them in another final earlier this year at that WPT Open in August. But on this occasion, they knew how to impose conditions to defeat the pair that had won everything. Cristian and his Siux Pegasus Luxury went all out on the court to defeat the world number ones. The match between these two talented pairs will go down in history as one of the best World Padel Tour finals. It was the first championship won by this Argentine padel duo in 2018. And it has even greater merit, as they managed to defeat the world number ones in the final. This is no small feat. Their rivals have won 7 finals this year. But with an incredible performance, they managed to snatch what would have been their eighth title. [caption id="attachment_7670" align="alignnone" width="1170"]

The road to the first title of the season
The winning pair had an intense and complicated tournament but managed to overcome all their rivals. In the round of 16, they managed to defeat the duo of José Rico Dasi and the Orygen player Víctor Ruiz. This was after being down one set, to then turn it around and win 2-1 in sets. In the quarterfinals, they faced their compatriots Ramiro Moyano and Luucho Capra, who despite all their effort could not dominate Gutiérrez and Stupa. It was in the semifinals when things seemed to get complicated against the Spaniards Juan Martín Díaz and Juan Lebron, after a comeback in the score, they managed to defeat them to advance to the final. Not without experiencing one of the most intense tie-breaks of the current World Padel Tour season. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxICq4EImow&t=6s The lineup for the final was set, and the spectacle was already guaranteed, with two of the best pairs in the world fighting with all their potential to lift the trophy. A very intense final was experienced, lasting just over two hours. It featured powerful shots, speed, technique, and skill that left you open-mouthed. In the first set, the champions demonstrated their experience and quality with total dominance. In just over half an hour, the score already showed a favorable difference for Maxi and Sanyo, which the opposing duo could not equalize, thus taking the first set. However, in the second set, Stupa and Cristian with the Siux Pegasus Luxury began to worry their rivals with intense and error-free play. Such a balanced game forced them into a tie-break, in which they won the set with a score of 7-6. They continued at that level to dominate the last set and lift the trophy after winning with a score of 6-2. [caption id="attachment_7671" align="alignnone" width="1170"]
