Padel and family: the perfect combination

Padel is one of the most popular sports in Spain. Nearly 4 million Spaniards played it at least once in 2015 and the number of licenses continues to grow year after year.

When we look for some of the keys to success of our favorite sport, an essential one immediately comes to mind: it's an easy sport to practice. This makes it an ideal alternative for anyone to exercise, also accompanied by three friends.

That's the secret of padel, everyone can practice it, because it doesn't require great physical fitness. The playing surface is not very large and the glass walls help the ball to always be close to the player, making the game much more dynamic and fun. Therefore, it is a perfect sport to practice with the family.

Connection with family

No doubt about it. Padel is one of the most recommended activities to play with family members. Age difference doesn't matter. As it's a doubles sport, parents, children, cousins, aunts, uncles or grandparents can always mix. The important thing is to have a good time playing sports.

Padel allows this connection with the family. Going for a bike ride, going for a run are some other examples. But padel, being a complementary sport that requires four people, has other benefits: there is direct involvement and one's game also depends on their partner's. The result is always shared. That's why it's always a delight to see a father playing with his son and witness their understanding on the court.

Positive values

While we awaken very positive values in children by playing with them (companionship, effort, ability to overcome challenges), practicing sports as a family allows us to set aside undesirable attitudes that we should teach in due measure at a certain age, such as competitiveness and the 'anything goes' mentality to win.

Padel is a vehicle of enormous value for the socialization of children: it promotes behaviors of cooperation, collaboration, altruism, a sense of belonging to the team...

Now that we know that padel is a family sport, we recommend some junior padel rackets that are also available in an adult version. We are talking about top brands such as Siux, Orygen, Adidas, Bullpadel...
