Siux SX5 2020 Blades[/caption]
One of the most recognized series of blades is the
SX series from
Siux Padel. They are once again making headlines because the fifth and most recent version has arrived. The
new Siux SX5s maintain the same essence they have always had, a launch consisting of two blades, one of which is exclusive for women. Don't miss any of the details in this analysis prepared by Street Padel. We will review their new features, components, and technologies.
Everything about the new Siux SX5 and Siux SX5 Woman
The first time an SX blade saw the light was in 2014, when the SX1 was introduced. A control blade that was easily recognized by its attractive red, white, and black design. After that launch, its acceptance continued to grow, allowing it to keep being renewed each season. We are currently in the
SX5 version, which comes with some
improvements to continue satisfying players.
Novelties with respect to their predecessors
As we mentioned, the
Siux SX5 and SX5 Woman blades retain the essence that has made them famous and once again use the materials from the previous version. However, there are some small changes, the main one being the
finish of the blades. They now feature a
sanded matte finish.
This finish improves the quality of the effects, with a relief that increases the grip of the ball with the faces.
For intermediate level players
Both the
SX5 and the SX5 Woman are aimed at intermediate level players. Those who seek to improve their level and find their appropriate playing style.
The type of game is what varies in both blades.
The SX5 is a
versatile blade, which
offers a balance between control and power. It achieves this with a slightly higher balance to make the head heavier.
The versatility of this blade allows it to adapt to more players. For its part, the
SX5 Woman is a control blade, its low balance concentrates the weight in the grip area, improving maneuverability.
100% carbon composition
Structurally speaking, both blades are identical. They are built with high-resistance materials, materials that are very rarely found in an intermediate-level blade. First, there is a
100% carbon frame, with a solid tubular that provides resistance and stability.
For their part, the faces are composed of a
high-resistance carbon fiber. This fiber results in a slightly more solid feel than fiberglass. This slightly increases the power in the stroke. However, this hardness is balanced with the softness of its core.
New high-density Soft EVA rubber
Inside, the
new SX5s feature a high-density Soft EVA rubber. This rubber has the well-known
properties of EVA foam for absorbing impacts and reducing vibrations. However, it has a slightly higher hardness, with the aim of increasing power.
Elegant designs for the Siux SX5s
We cannot deny the fact that the design of a blade plays an important role for all players. In fact, the aesthetics of a blade are what attract us and invite us to want to know it in depth. That is why Siux has preserved the essence of the SX4's design. This design seeks to differentiate the SX5 from the SX5 Woman, so that each of them has its distinctive feature. Both have a
black base, the men's version combines it with
red while the women's version does so with
blue and fuchsia.
