Paquito Navarro and Sanyo Gutiérrez were crowned champions of the second World Padel Tour tournament of the season after winning a thrilling final with a double 7-6 against Maxi Sánchez and Matías Díaz, who lost their second consecutive final.
The difference in favor of Sanyo and Paquito was their effectiveness in decisive moments, in tie-breaks and in adverse situations, when they had to come back in both sets and save several break points.
Previously, in the semifinals, Paquito and Sanyo eliminated the big favorites, the number 1 players Fernando Belasteguín and Pablo Lima, proving that they have what it takes to become the new pair to be feared by their rivals. It should be remembered that Belasteguín and Lima won 13 of the 14 WPT tournaments played last year.
