INTERVIEW WITH ÁLVARO CEPERO

Álvaro Cepero is a player who leaves no one indifferent. Neither on nor off the court. His grit and extroverted personality are his main characteristics. The number 23 player of the World Padel Tour exudes friendliness in this interview with his brand, Wingpadel, in which he analyzes his current season.

'Chiqui', as his family and friends know him, talks about various topics in this complete interview. In addition to evaluating his year, he also talks about Fernando Poggi, the equality present in the circuit, the future of Spanish padel, the World Padel Championship and, of course, the launch of his new racket: the Wingpadel Air Attack.

Cepero also surrenders to the season that Fernando Belasteguín has once again had. "What he does is admirable. He has been number one for 14 seasons and celebrates each title as if it were the first. We should all learn from him," he says.

He doesn't know when the brilliant player from Pehuajó will retire, but he admits, laughing, that he hopes he will do it by his side: "If he retires, I hope he retires with me. I'll try not to sink him."

WINGPADEL AIR ATTACK, HIS NEW RACKET

Cepero will face the current A Coruña Open with his new racket, Air Attack. A racket that, as he acknowledges, was designed and developed according to his instructions.

"I spent a whole day with the brand to make it perfect. I was looking for a simple racket. I wanted it to have the same mold as the Air Force Oro, but with more control. We achieved that with the matte finish and the roughness it gives off," he adds.

The Andalusian player is "very grateful" to Wingpadel for creating the first racket with his signature. Of the Wingpadel Air Attack, he highlights its precision - it has brutal back control - and its power, thanks to its diamond shape and high balance.
